YOUR FOCUS HAS AN IMPACT
It is really quite liberating to begin to realise the energising reality of what your talents can bring to your every day.
But it comes with a catch.
Because the feeling of using your talents is so liberating and exciting, you literally crave it. This craving drives you to actively look for as many situations as possible in which your talents can be activated. In fact when your talents are NOT engaged, you experience a sensation that is commonly referred to as "boredom". And we all know how much that sucks.
Think for a moment about someone who really enjoys talking. Guess what they want to do all day?
You guessed it...They talk....whenever they can get a chance. And they do not stop. This is the person who books the middle seat in airplanes simply to keep their conversational options open.
But that's not all folks...because talking is so natural and pleasurable for this person, they cannot understand why you are not enjoying it as much as they are! They look confused and even wounded when you place your headphones on the moment you sit down and stare longingly out the window for the whole journey or simply shut your eyes.
The hardest thing to ever understand about your talent is this: It is YOURS and is not necessarily someone else's.
While you may be intensely focused on what engages you, you may be simultaneously oblivious to the impact your actions may have on those around you. So why should this matter?
Your impact affects how others relate to you. And this could affect whether people want to work with you or not.
